Hide key

Hi!
Very Greatful for some help as a newbie.. working on the dimension structure.
I would like to hide the key, so not visible when using the dimensions.. How would I do that?

If you are using Analysis Services 2005 you can mark the key attribute in the attributes window(left) in the dimension editor.

In the properties window, down to the right, you will see a AttributeHierarchyVisible property that you set to false.

Hide Group Header Elements when Detail Visible

This seems like an easy request but I can't figure it out.
I have a table with multiple groups. Each group header contains subtotal
fields. I want to hide the contents of the subtotal fields on each group
header when that group is expanded but I want the field that contains the
name of the group to remain visible.
Thanks, JonI did this by adding an additional row to the group header.
Put the field that contains the name of the group on row 1 of your header,
and the subtotal field on row 2. Now you can select the field with the group
name to toggle Visibility on or off for both your Details and your Subtotal
field (or row). Leave the Subtotal field visible in the report definition
(Hidden=False), but hide the Details section.

Hide From Print

Hi,
I would like to exclude some fields from printing, but they have to be
visible for the user in IE.
Is this possible?
tx,

Greetz,
Hippo from [NL]

remove xxx from mailHippo, have you figured this out yet. I want to do the exact same thing but
have not been able to do it.
If you have please let me know how you did it.
Thank you,
Fred

hide columns with no data

I'm trying to create a table where if the column has no data then it is not
visible. e.g. Sum(values)=0 then hide=true type of thing
This is causing a problem with printing PDF as this still includes all the
blank columns, I understand the explanation as to why this happens.
I've scoured the web and have seen many suggestions but nothing seems to work.
The 'cangrow' property is only valid for height not width.
It is not possible to set an expression on width etc etc
Did anyone ever figure out a way around this issue?I would suggest you to do this hiding part or remove the column itself using
your sql query and use matrix so that depending on the column this will be
displayed.
and all this can be done, provided you dont change/show/hide the columns
very frequently.

Hidden columns showing on export

I am allowing users to specify through a parameter whether they want a column
to be visible or not. If they specify visible = false, the column does not
show on the report. However, when that same report is exported, the column is
visible in the export.
Does anyone have a solution for this?Hello.
I am having a similar problem. I'm trying to make some table columns hidden
(collapsed). The regular online report view is fine and the hidden columns
are hidden and propery collapsed. However, when I export (to pdf) the hidden
columns are blank but not collapsed, except for the table footer row, so the
table footer is misaligned with the rest of the table. The columns in the
table footer row collapsed propery, but the rest of the table's hidden
columns are blank but did not collapse. So I end up with a table with more
header and detail columns than footer columns.
Any idea what is happening?
Thanks,
Brian.
