Hidden/Read-only parameters in Report Designer

This question was never clearly answered, so here's what works for me:
In Report Designer:
To make a parameter read-only and hidden, leave the Prompt box blank.
To make a parameter hidden but not read-only, type a space in the Prompt box.
If there's another way, please let me know.
Chrissie"To make a parameter hidden but not read-only, type a space in the Prompt
box."
I can't get this to work... it then seems to put in the name of the param as
the prompt.
Are you sure about this? Have you applied the service patch? Just
checking?
Thanks for any help,
Alan Smith.

feature.
