Hi,
Is there any way that the parameters passed from the URL is not shown to the users. Making the "Prompt User" unchecked and passing the parameter through the URL gave some error. Is there a work around.
Thanks.

Hidden Sub-Reports Processed?
Question: In RS 2000, do hidden sub-reports get processed? I have a
report with several sub-reports, which get hidden or shown based on a
parameter. The report seems to take a long time to render, and the
pagination is off so it appears that the other hidden sub-reports are
being processed but not shown.
Does anybody know for sure if this is true? If it is true, is there a
work-around other than breaking it up into separate reports?
Thanks in advance,
Garrett VliegerNevermind. I found my answer here:

Hidden Subreport Executes Query
Using SRS 2000.
I have a subreport on my report that is only shown under certain conditions.
I have handled this successfully with the Hidden property.
I read somewhere that the hidden subreport would not execute, but if I
profile SQL server when I run the report the SQL is being executed.
Is there a way to suppress the SQL execution and speed up the report?I was unable to find an answer to this (could not find the original article
that set me down this path either). I devised a workaround that I will
post here in case anyone else is running into this.
For all the queries in my subreports, I add a NoExecute bit parameter. The
first thing I do in the query is then check to see If @.NoExectue = 1 I
SELECT a column list that is the same as my normal output, but all the
values are NULL and then return. This makes the query execute really fast
and minimizes the performance issue.
So for an example... If my query normally returns Name, Address, & Phone the
start of my query now looks like:
If @.NoExectue = 1
Begin
Select
NULL as Name,
NULL as Address,
NULL as Phone
Return
End
--Start the regular query here to return 'real' values.

HelpColumnar Report with 3 Groupings?
Hi
I have sales data that needs to be grouped by Company, State and
Date. I would like to format the report as shown in image.
I am using Crystal Reports XI. I am new to Crystal Reports and
would like to find out whether this report is possible using either
columnar format or cross-tab?
Many ThanksPost a sample of your table(s). I can't help without knowing what you have to start with.
I have a feeling you'll need a crosstab|||Hi
I have data in two tables - Sales and Dealers.
Sales
-------
DealerCode
WeekEnding
NumberSold
Dealers
-------
DealerCode
CompanyName
State
I have a command in Crystal as follows:
SELECT d.CompanyName, d.State, s.WeekEnding, s.NumberSold
FROM sales s
LEFT JOIN dealers d
ON s.DealerCode = d.DealerCode
AND s.WeekEnding BETWEEN '2006-04-01' AND '2006-04-30'
I would like to group the data returned by CompanyName, State and Date to get a Total of NumberSold.
I would like to format the report in columns (as in image attachment). I would also like to have a two week total and a week-on-week figure.
If you need any further info, let me know. Thanks for your help!|||Look for cross tab reports in help file

Help: Selecting from two tables: odd situation
Hi, I have two tables setup as shown below:
Table name,"config"
+------+------+
| config_name | config_value |
+------+------+
| default_style | 1 |
| *other names | *other values |
+------+------+
Table name,"styles"
+------+------+
| style_id | style_name |
+------+------+
| 1 | Purple Hue |
| *other names | *other values |
+------+------+
Now, for my question:
I need to select everything (*) from the config table
and the 'style_name' from the styles table where style_id of the styles table is equal to the value of default_style of the config table.
I got as far as this query
"SELECT config.*, styles.style_name FROM `config`, `styles` WHERE config.default_style = styles.style_id LIMIT 1"
But obviously that will not work.
I know I can do this with two queries, but I am optimizing and I would like to reduce this down to 1 query, is this even possible to do with one query?
Thanks.left outer join|||Is this the same as a left join? I have heard of left join, but never of a left outer join.
Just an alias or what?|||yeah, it's the same
some databases allow the OUTER keyword to be optional
