Hi Folks,
I=B4m sharing a SQL Server 2000 SP3a with some users.
These users are using Enterprise Manager and Query=20
Analyzer at client side. It=B4s working well.
My problem is: In Enterprise Manager view, users can see
all databases, but only can manipulate your database.
My Question: In SQL Properties, How can I hide Databases=20
to non-owners ?

Alex Decarli.This is not possible in SQL2000 Enterprise Manager. Metadata security is
pretty lax.You can choose to hide System databases if you wish , by going
into Edit SQL Server Registration Properties and uncheck Show system
databases and system objects

Hide Databases
Hi Folks,

HF for SQL2000 on Windows 2003 Cluster
We just build our first 2 nodes cluster on Windows 2003 / SQL2000 SP3a + HF
818.
Does anybody knows if there is any other HF need to be applied on Windows or
SQL running cluster services before we go live?

That depends on whether you are experiencing any problems that are covered
by a later hotfix. I generally don't apply a hotfix unless I need the
specific functionality it covers. Service Packs are a different issue.
Those go in as soon as they are carefully tested.

Hep! Printing Error from client (browser)
We have 2 servers with RS:
1.SQL RS 2000 SP3a
2.SQL RS 2005 SP1
When we try to use client side printing in SQL 2000 RS we getting error "An error occured during printing '0x8007F304' ".
When we try to use client side printing (from the same client PC) in SQL 2005 RS, it print fine without any problem

Help: GetTextExtentPointIX could not be located?
I experienced the exact same problem. I was running Win2K & Sql Server sp3a.
Everything was fine. I upgraded
to Win Server 2003. I got warned about running Sql Server 2000 sp2 or lower.
I continued. Upgraded Win Server
2003 with all current critical patches. I run Sql Server 2003. Try to open u
p DTS designer and get GetTextExtentPointI
could not be located in msdart.dll. Try to open a table and I get "Unknown e

On a machine running Windows 2003 Server that was upgraded from Windows 2000
Server, look for OLEDB32.DLL in "c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole
DB".
Check the version of OLEDB32.DLL. If it is the correct version for Windows
2003 Server, it should be (at least) version 2.80.1022.0 according to the
MDAC 2.8 manifest.
On my servers that were upgraded from Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2003
Server, that OLEDB32.DLL file was version 2.71.9042.0. The wrong version.
I copied the OLEDB32.DLL that was version 2.8.1022.0 to c:\Program
Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB on the upgraded machines, and it seems to
have solved the "The procedure entry point GetTextExtentPointI could not be
located in the DLL MSDART.dll" problem.
The correct OLEDB32.DLL can be found from the MDAC 2.8 redistributable, or
from a cleanly installed Windows 2003 Server.

I download and installed MDAC_TYP.EXE and mdac28sdk.msi. However, I still ha
